Garment Care
A life well-designed is one that ensures less waste. Please follow the care instructions below to ensure your garments age like a fine red wine.
BEFORE WEARING
It's likely your garments have become a little creased during transit and we recommend steaming before each wear. We prefer hand-held steamers, often found at your local appliance store - examples here.
WASHING
You'll find specific care instructions within each garment however as a rule of thumb, we recommend -
Trousers + Outwear, dry-clean only.
Woven items, gentle cold wash with a small amount of detergent, on its own or with similar colours + hang to dry.
Knitwear, gentle cold wash with a small amount of detergent, on its own + lay flat to dry.
NOTE - all of our garments are pre-shrunk but if you use a washing machine on a warm or hot water cycle, it's probable your garment will shrink 1-2% (approx.), although industry standard is 2-5%.
DRYING
Please do not put garments in the tumble dryer (especially cotton or knitwear).
Tumble drying can shrink even our pre shrunk fabrics. Furthermore it damages the fabric and promotes ageing. Please hang to air dry, out of direct sunlight. It's better for the environment too.
